//Essays on Epistemology
Epistemology is the study of knowledge. It deals with the nature of knowledge, as well as the ways in which our subjective experience influences what we understand to be knowledge and how we can work within the imperfect framework of consciousness in order to maintain a rigorous and objective perspective on our environment.
In the below series, we will begin in Part 1 by exploring the nature of subjectivity, and create a delineation between the world “as is”, and the world “as perceived”.
In Part 2, we will break down the meaning of the term “knowledge”, and explore how the use of the word knowledge in common parlance does not properly encapsulate the process of information aggregation.
Part 3 will explore the definition of objectivity, and discuss methodology for obtaining as close to objective information as is possible.
The final section, Part 4, will discuss the benefits of taking an epistemologically rigorous stance on knowledge acquisition during your everyday life.
